The « CCHLeM »


A French inter-municipal body, the Communauté de Communes du Haut Limousin en Marche is located in the Haute-Vienne department, in the New Aquitaine region.

It was formed on 1 January 2017 through the merger of three inter-municipal bodies:

  • the Basse Marche Community of Communes,
  • the Brame-Benaize Community of Communes,
  • the Haut Limousin Community of Communes.

Areas of Responsibilities


The Communauté de Communes du Haut Limousin en Marche is responsible for the following services :

  • early childhood
  • youth
  • school life
  • culture
  • public health
  • housing
  • recycling centres
  • economic development
  • town planning
  • sewage and drainage
