Municipal Cottage
Between Limoges and Poitiers, the former presbytery of Thiat, a picturesque village within the commune of Val-d’Oire-et-Gartempe, provides the perfect setting for your stay.
Fully renovated, this holiday cottage can accommodate up to 14 guests. Located in the heart of the village, it features a private terrace and garden at the rear of the property.
Furnished throughout with carefully selected furniture, tableware, and distinctive décor, the cottage has been designed to offer the comfort and quality of hotel accommodation. Its interior combines contemporary design with the enhancement of the building’s historic character, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere.
Ground floor: spacious open-plan living area partly connected to a fully equipped kitchen, pantry, cosy lounge with TV, bedroom (1 double bed) with private shower room, separate WC.
First floor: 2 bedrooms, each accommodating 2 guests (2 king-size beds, 160 cm wide), one of which has a private shower room. Bathroom. Large bedroom/lounge area sleeping up to 4 guests (4 single beds, 90 cm wide). A second landing leads to another bedroom (2 single beds, 90 cm wide), a bathroom with shower, 2 WCs, a utility room, and an additional bedroom (2 single beds, 90 cm wide).

Nature is everywhere, with numerous walking trails throughout the municipality of Val-d’Oire-et-Gartempe and a variety of natural and historical attractions to discover during your stay, including Saut de la Brame, Donjon de la Côte au Chapt, Étang des Brégères and Rochers de l’Isop.
Just 7 km away, Lathus-Saint-Rémy offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including kayaking, rock climbing, treetop adventure courses, circus skills, horse riding, and nature walks.
Within easy driving distance, several remarkable attractions are well worth a visit: the Monts de Blond, the medieval town of Chauvigny and its famous bird-of-prey show Les Géants du Ciel, the Centre de la Mémoire d’Oradour, Lac de Saint-Pardoux, La Planète des Crocodiles, the swimming pool and wellness centre in Civaux, and the renowned Cité de l’Écrit.
