Childminders

In the municipality of Val-d’Oire-et-Gartempe, there are currently two registered childminders working.

Schools

 

There are two schools for children in town.

Throughout the year, the children take part in various outings:

  • Swimming in Montmorillon,
  • Judo at the Suzanne Léger Institute,
  • Cinema,
  • A concert by the Jeunesses Musicales de France (JMF),
  • Educational visits,
  • End-of-year trip,
  • …

To ensure that all children can take part in these activities, the local council covers the cost of transport.

Playgrounds
& ‘City Stade’

Play areas, city stadium, tennis courts… are available to residents.

In Bussière-Poitevine you will find:

  • A stadium
  • A ‘City Stade’ with free access in the leisure area
  • A tennis court (keys available from the grocery shop)

In Darnac, a partially covered pétanque court.

In Thiat and Saint-Barbant, there are play areas for young children.

Services

School timetables
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday:
9.00 am to 12.00 pm and 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm

Teachers welcome the children 10 minutes before the times shown.

Canteen
The prices for the Val-d’Oire-et-Gartempe canteen are listed below:
– €2.35 for children
– €5.30 for adults

The after-school club
The after-school club is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Open from 7.30 am until 8.50 am, then from 4.30 pm to 6.35 pm
The fees are as follows:
€3.50 per day, up to a maximum of €40.00 per month.

School enrolment
Please contact Bussière-Poitevine Town Hall, bringing your family record book and your child’s health record.
