The secondary centre of Le Dorat and Bussière-Poitevine Multi-disciplinary Health Centre was built at 1, Place du Champ du Foire in Bussière-Poitevine in 2013/2014. Originally designed to house the practice of a private doctor, over the years it proved too cramped with the arrival of a nurses' practice, a podiatrist and an osteopath. The elected representatives of the new municipality of Val-d'Oire-et-Gartempe therefore took the strategic decision in 2023 to expand the Health Centre.

The new complex provides the professionals based there with a more comfortable working environment and also considers the practical realities of practising as a private doctor in a rural setting by enabling the creation of a medical assistant post. Advised and supported by the ARS (Regional Health Agency), and receiving financial assistance from the State under the DETR (Rural Areas Equipment Grant) the Haut Limousin en Marche Community of Communes and the Department under the CDDI (Departmental Contracts for Inter-municipal Development), the municipality of Val-d'Oire-et-Gartempe has secured the resources to create the conditions necessary to provide vital healthcare services for its residents.
